Jane Bianchi

I’ve been a freelance writer/editor and a branded content creator/strategist for five years. My specialties include health, personal finance, and in-depth profiles of adults and teens.

My writing has appeared in more than 23 publications, including Men’s Health, Woman’s Day, Esquire, More, Dr. Oz’s The Good Life, Working Mother, Latina, Parents Latina, and Scholastic classroom magazines.

I’m doing a growing amount of branded content. I took on long-term project management roles for clients such as Eagle Creek and the National Sleep Foundation, which included having regular calls with the client to figure out their needs, finding a team of writers and a photo editor, coming up with content ideas, figuring out ways to either subtly or overtly highlight certain products, developing an assignment schedule, style guide, and fact checking guide, editing the content for SEO, creating social media posts to promote the content, and making sure that everything was delivered on time. I have written health content for clients such as Johnson & Johnson and Strive (a partnership between Meredith Corporation and Pfizer). I have written financial content for clients such as LearnVest, SoFi, Thrivent Financial, and Erie Insurance.

Sometimes I take on special projects. I contributed reporting to a Woman’s Day book (coming Spring 2018) on acts of kindness. For a year, I wrote blogs and social media posts for Mitchell Gaynor, M.D. to help promote his book called The Gene Therapy Plan. I have edited dozens of health articles for Verywell.com. I edited Teen Health Guide, a 64-page print resource for UK health educators.

Prior to freelancing, I spent eight years working on staff at national magazines in New York City. I was the senior news editor at Seventeen, the associate health editor at Family Circle, the assistant editor at Good Housekeeping and a reporter at Glamour.

I have a B.A. in English from Wake Forest University and I’m a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course. I live with my husband and daughter in Tampa, Florida. I’d love to connect on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or email.
